Stop Overcomplicating the Landing
I recently audited a cleaning company's website in Nairobi. It was a beautiful, 12-page behemoth. It had an "About Us" history going back to 2015, a blog about eco-friendly detergents, and a gallery of scrubbed floors. The problem? Nobody could figure out how to hire them.
In the Kenyan service economy—cleaning, moving, logistics, plumbing—the user journey is brutally simple. Your customer has a problem: "My house in Lavington is dusty." or "I need a pickup from Nyamakima to Ruaka." They want a solution in under 15 seconds.
Here is the exact 3-page blueprint we use at Stonehenge Digital for high-converting service websites in Kenya.
Page 1: The Trust & Price Anchor (Homepage)
This is not a landing page for your company. This is a landing page for the customer's anxiety.
Hero Section Must Include:
- Headline: "[Service] in [Neighborhood]. Done Right, First Time." (e.g., "Move Out Cleaning in Kilimani.")
- CTA Button: Not "Learn More." Use "WhatsApp Us Now" or "Get Instant Estimate (KES)."
- Trust Bar: Logos or text: "Trusted by 500+ Homes," "Police Clearance Verified Staff."
Page 2: The Friction Killer (Services & Pricing)
Kenyans are tired of "Send a DM for price." This is the biggest drop-off point. You don't need to list every price for every variable, but you MUST set an anchor.
- Example: "1-Bedroom Deep Clean: Starting at KES 2,500."
- Why this works: It filters out the "Nipe bei" (give me a price) time-wasters and pre-qualifies serious buyers.
- Add-Ons: List extras like "Fridge Cleaning: +KES 500" or "Balcony Sweep: +KES 300." This increases average order value.
Page 3: The Handoff (Contact & Chat)
This page has one job: Minimize the steps between "I want this" and "The cleaner is booked."
- Embedded WhatsApp Click-to-Chat: Pre-filled message: "Hi, I'd like to book a 2-bedroom clean for Saturday in Parklands. Is the KES 3,500 rate still valid?"
- Location Map: This proves you are a real local entity, not a faceless aggregator.
What You Don't Need
You don't need a "Company History" page. You don't need a "Mission Statement." You need speed, trust, and price clarity. That's the Kenyan B2C service formula.

This is it. That's the post. I don't need a blog about "sustainability in supply chains." I need to know if someone in Syokimau can book my pickup truck without calling me 8 times. The 3-page model is all I need.

I've been struggling with this exact issue. My WhatsApp is a mess. I have a nice Instagram, but the booking process is chaotic. Question on the "Price Anchor": I'm scared to put KES 2,500 starting price because a client with a mansion in Runda will see that and expect mansion cleaning for 2,500. How do I set the price anchor without scaring away the big fish or getting the small fish upset when I quote higher? Do I use ranges? "From KES 2,500 (Bedsitter) to KES 15,000 (5-Bed Villa)."

"Kenyan B2C service formula: Speed, Trust, Price Clarity." That should be on a t-shirt. I'm printing that for my office wall.

I run a small errands business. The "What You Don't Need" section is liberating. I've been stressing about writing a "Mission Statement" for 6 months. Instead, I'm going to focus on the WhatsApp Click-to-Chat button.

Finally, someone who understands that Kenyans hate calling. We want to text. The pre-filled WhatsApp message is a life hack I'm implementing today even before building the site.

This is so helpful. But what about payment? Do we just send the till number after they chat? Or is there a way to get deposit on that simple 3-page site?

Bana, hii mambo ya "About Us" ya 2015 ni ya nini? Nobody cares that we started with a bucket and mop. They care that we are in their neighborhood and have police clearance. Simple.

I moved from a 10-page site to a 1-page landing page with a WhatsApp button. My bookings went up. Less scrolling = more bookings. This article validates my decision. Don't let web designers sell you fluff.

I'm building a site for my plumbing business. The advice on "Trust Bar" is solid. I'm adding "NCWSC Accredited" and "24/7 Emergency Response." Those two lines close deals faster than a picture of a wrench.

This is gold. One question: What do we do about the customers who STILL call for a quote even after seeing the price? Some Kenyans just want to hear a human voice for assurance. Does the site have a "Request Callback" option? Not for price, just for reassurance.
