The "About Us" Page That Got a Consultant 3 Retainers in a Month (Exact Template Inside)

The Page That Changed Everything

In February 2026, a management consultant in Nairobi was struggling. Her website was getting traffic, but her "About Us" page was a generic wall of text that said things like "passionate about excellence." Her inbound inquiries were low-quality, and she was losing bids to larger firms.

She came to Stonehenge Digital. We didn't redesign her whole site. We rewrote her "About Us" page using a specific framework. Within one month, she closed three retainer agreements worth KSh 450,000/month combined. She didn't run a single ad. The inquiries came from the new page.

Here is the exact template we used—and you can use it too.

The "Trust-Bridge" About Us Template

The page has six sections, in this specific order:

Section 1: The Empathy Headline (H1)

Don't say "About [Your Name]". Say: "You're not looking for a consultant. You're looking for someone who can [solve specific pain] without [specific fear]."

In her case: "You're not looking for a financial consultant. You're looking for someone who can restructure your SME's cash flow without shutting down operations or firing your team."

Section 2: The "I've Been There" Story (2-3 paragraphs)

Share a relatable professional origin story. Not your full biography from birth. A specific moment when you encountered the same problem your clients face, and how you solved it. This builds instant connection.

Section 3: The "Here's Who I Help" Clarity (Bullet List)

"I work specifically with: manufacturing SMEs in Nairobi with 20-50 employees who are profitable but cash-poor." Niche clarity repels the wrong clients and magnetically attracts the right ones.

Section 4: The "Proof Stack" (Social Proof)

Include 2-3 specific, quantifiable results from past clients (anonymized if needed). "Helped a hardware distributor in Industrial Area reduce stock holding costs by 32% while increasing inventory turnover by 18%." Then add one detailed testimonial with the client's name and photo (with permission).

Section 5: The "Why Me" Credentials (Not a Resume)

List 3-5 credentials that are directly relevant to the client's pain. "Certified Management Consultant (CMC), 12 years in Kenyan manufacturing, MBA from Strathmore, previously CFO at a KSh 500M turnover FMCG." No fluff degrees.

Section 6: The "No-Risk" CTA

End with a single, low-friction offer: "Not sure if we're a fit? Book a free 20-minute diagnostic call. No pitch, just clarity on your cash flow situation. If I can't help, I'll tell you."

Why It Works

This template addresses the buyer's two unspoken questions in order: "Do you understand my problem?" (Sections 1-3), and "Can I trust you to solve it?" (Sections 4-6). By the time they reach the CTA, they've already mentally hired you.

Don't underestimate the power of a single page. It can be your best salesperson.
